In Stand-Up Masterclass 101 you'll learn fundamentals and have mental fun exploring various theories and approaches to the art of Stand-Up Comedy. Stand-Up is an ongoing conversation with oneself and culture at large. Our goal is to help you identify the ways you want to participate in that conversation by discussing the ways the masters did it, but, more importantly, by finding out what you believe is funny and authentic to you.

Course Goals:

  • Create in an inclusive environment that empowers diverse perspectives and reflects the mission of Onward Theatre

  • Sharpen your storytelling skills

  • Develop different tactics for writing

  • Harnessing the power of stage work
